2012 New Year's Brunch Invitation

Every year we have a brunch on New Year's Day that is the best party of the season. Everyone is done shopping, cooking, cleaning, and stressing over the holidays and just sit back and enjoy a vast array of comfort food and good company. It's early in the day so the older relatives and friends don't worry about driving at night.

This year's invitations were inspired by the old time pocket watch. I printed the insides on my inkjet printer on ivory cardstock and then cut them to size.

I bought digital stamps from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff and printed on ivory card stock. I used Sure Cuts A Lot software to design a cut out of the watch so I could cut them all on my Cricut. The faces of the watches were colored with Copics to create the shadows and then I embossed the gold parts.

The background gold paper is Gold glitter card stock from Best Creation Inc. I bought it at Archivers and love that it doesn't shed glitter all over everything. It was really easy to work with.

Snowman containers

I made these darling snowman containers using files from SVG Cuts. I filled them with a holiday Chex mix that is coated with white chocolate and gave them to my staff as a part of their Christmas gift. They were super easy to make and fast!

Teen Get Well Card

One of the teachers at school asked me to make a card for her students to sign for a classmate that has been out sick for awhile. The bottom paper is from American Girl. The top is a border I made and embossed. I also made an envelope and matching sticker. I hope she likes it and gets well soon.

I love, love, love this coffin box from SVG Cuts! It only took a few minutes to make and I can't wait to make a bunch more in different colors.

Haunted Mansion

I made this haunted mansion this week using SVG Cuts and Martha Stewart's Halloween paper. I love Halloween!

Feel Better Soon Card

I made this card for my boss as she recuperates from surgery. The Feel Better Soon bandaid was a free download from SVG Cuts

Onesies Baby Cards

I am forever needing cards for people having new babies or grand babies so I decided I'd make a few to have on hand to send next time. I used a template from Cards by Karlum and brought it into sure Cuts a Lot. I modified it so it cut a folded card that is about 4x5 inches.

For the trim, I cut 1/4 inch strips of paper with one edge having a small scallop. I edged the scalloped edge with color then ran it through my crimper. I figured which way I wanted it to bend on the card and scrunched the pleats to make the curve before gluing it down. I trimmed it after it dried.

The darling little sheep is from SVG Cuts Cuddly Animals. I can't wait to make more using the bunny, duck, giraffe... Well, you get the idea. I just love these cards!

Rachel's Birthday Card

I made this one for my niece, Rachel's, birthday using SVG Cuts Breezy Backyard Lever Card Collection's Pinwheel Card. I decided to use a cupcake instead because a pinwheel seemed too childish for someone entering High School next week. (Yay, Rachel! Good job making the volleyball team!) The paper is from American Girl and everything, even cupcakes, go better with Stickles. :)

Bicycle card

I made this card for my niece, Heather's, Birthday using American Girl paper and SVG Cuts Bibcycle Card from the Peony Cottage collection. I used yellow Stickles to add some shimmer. I just love Stickles!

Birthday card

I made this card for my daughter, Amanda. I used the SVG Cuts Breezy Backyard Lever Cards (again - I just love that set!) the papers are from The American Girl paper pack. I like how young and bright it came out compared to the more refined looks I have gotten with lever cards using other papers.

My Home Office

This is our home office/craft room. I love the view out the windows - it's so serene and pretty. The room is over the garage and is shared by my husband. I have all my supplies organized in the white cubes along the walls in my space. The table on the other side of my desk lets me spread out or swing it into the middle of the floor for my mom and sister to use.

This last photo is a 360 degree shot with my iPad. Kinda fun... say hi to Bill at his desk! :)

McAuley 3D Letters

More fun with 3D Letters from SVGCuts! I made these to put in the window of my office at Mother McAuley. The baker's cord is from The Twinery. The ticket was a digistamp from sgtstamper.com - a free download, thank you very much!

Family 3D Letters

I had a lot of fun with this project! The sag files were from SVG Cuts, of course! I couldn't figure out what to make until my nephew, Brad, suggested FAMILY. That was the perfect word since I have been working on my family tree for a couple years now.

I used K and Company's Alleghany Plum papers since they coordinated and all have leaves on them. (Family tree - leaves... get it?) The photos are all of my family, including one of Brad. The oldest one (on the F) is my grandfather with his siblings and parents taken in the late 1800's.

Haunted House

I couldn't wait to make this haunted house from the SVGCuts Peony Cottage design. I decided to make the haunted version of the cottage first because I am stumped with what colors to make the cute cottage. Look for that to come. Thanks Mary and Leo, you guys are the best!

In order to get the battery operated tea lights to be at the window height, I made little tables with a round opening to put them in.

Happy 91st Birthday

My Mom asked me to make a Birthday card for a friend of hers that is turning 91 in a couple weeks. Here it is! I used the lever design from SVG Cuts for the foundation. The flowers were left over from a wreath I made.

Mother's Day

I made this cute card for my Mom for Mother's Day using the Breezy Back Door Level Card from SVGCUTS. I didn't have the proper lighting for the photos so you can't tell that the letters have Sticklers on them and are oh sooooo glittery. (Everything looks prettier with glitter!)
